Staying Healthy While Pregnant Program:
This is three workshops designed to provide important health information for pregnant mothers.
  • Workshop 1 will provide important information for mothers who are in their first trimester or woman planning to get pregnant. You will get information on nutrition, how to prepare for the baby and learn what exercises you need to do to prevent complications.
     

  • Workshops 2 is for women in their second or third trimester and are preparing to deliver. The workshop is both practical and educational, you will learn additional exercises to prevent and reduce pain and reduce complications. Education will focus on how to best take care of yourself and your baby during this critical time.
     

  • Workshop 3 is for mothers who have just delivered their babies and want to get back in shape. You will learn what is safe and what timelines you can expect. An individual exercise program will be developed to get you back in shape after pregnancy

Women are welcome to take the courses individually or sign up for all three. The courses are given by Shaleen Bhagat a Canadian physiotherapist who specializes in Women’s Health. If you are not interested in the classes one-on-one consultations are available.

Diabetes and Exercise Program:
This is a six week group program designed to provide information for people who have diabetes. It will help get people started on an exercise program and teach them what they need to know to properly manage their condition. This course is delivered by Patti Killingsworth, a Canadian Exercise Physiologist who specializes in Diabetes and Weight Management. This program can be delivered at home for groups of 6 or more or if you are not interested in the classes one-on-one consultations are available.

Weight Management and Exercise Program:
This is a six part program delivered over twelve weeks delivered our specialist in exercise and weight management. It will provide you with information and exercise programs needed to effectively loose weight and get the benefits of exercise. You will develop personal exercise programs and develop the knowledge regarding nutrition and health to effectively reduce your weight. This course is delivered by Patti Killingsworth, a Canadian Exercise Physiologist who specializes in Diabetes and Weight Management. This program can be delivered at home for groups of 6 or more or if you are not interested in the classes one-on-one consultations are available.
