Elham is President and Medical Director at the
FSRI. Elham received her MD in 1993 from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and completed her orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Toronto, Canada, in 2001. She was a founding partner of Zama Wellness, specializing in corporate health and is the Founder and Director of Wellness Consulting International. Elham is also the National Action Network Coordinator for the Bone and Joint Decade in Kuwait, and is leading the countrywide effort to mobilize doctor and patient support for the Decade’s goals. Her special interest areas are spine surgery and chronic pain management. |

Michel is Vice President of Research and Education at the
FSRI. He is a lecturer in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto (Canada), and a Post Doctoral Fellow at the Arthritis Community Research and Evaluation Unit (ACREU) and the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute (TRI). Prior to receiving his doctoral degree, Michel held clinical and senior management positions within the private rehabilitation sector in Canada, and within international humanitarian aid and development agencies in Central America and Eastern Europe. His health services and policy research explores the public/private mix of funding and delivery of rehabilitation services, and investigates the implication of policy shifts on access, cost, and quality. He consults on a variety of international health projects, and lectures widely on the changing structure of rehabilitation services. Michel is currently the President of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. |

Armen is Vice President of Clinical Operations at
FSRI. He holds a B.A. in Finance and Economics from the University of Toronto and a further degree in psychotherapy (with a human resource focus) from the Gestalt Institute of Toronto. He has a strong entrepreneurial background: Armen started and ran two very successful businesses, one in home renovations and the other in the food industry in Canada. Armen is experienced in hiring and training staff that can perform well, and in setting-up the financial and administrative processes that make day-to-day operations run smoothly. Armen is one of the founders of IWC Group and is a core project developer. |

Eleanor is the Director of Social Responsibility and Communications at
FSRI.She has her BA in International Studies from Macalester College,Minnesota, and her Masters in International NGO Administration from TheSchool for International Training (SIT), Vermont, USA. Eleanor hasworked in the NGO, non-profit sector for the past 19 years. Since 1999Eleanor has worked as a project manager for refugee programs serving a14-country region in the Near East and Asia. Eleanor and her teamworked with local and international NGOs, UNHCR offices, embassies,municipalities, schools, hospitals and government officials in Turkeyas advocates for the rights and protection of displaced people and todevelop and fund programs serving this population. Eleanor is committedto working with organizations that strengthen local capacity andincrease access to research, education, training and assistance forvulnerable populations.
